The Great Lakes Rescue Project presents Surfboard Rescue Techniques Class at Grand Haven State Park on Sunday August 7 from 10am-12pm at the Pavillion at Grand Haven State Park.

The “Surfboard Rescue Techniques” class is FREE and OPEN to the public.


In 2010, 74 people drowned in the Great Lakes primarily due to rip currents. The Great Lakes are sometimes referred to as the “Third Coast” of the United States and the “Third Coast” can have "Ocean Force" rip currents during windy
weather conditions.
